Make room for your kids! A child’s bedroom is almost a sanctuary, it’s a place of comfort and reflection of their own identity as they grow… so make sure they have everything they need!

Everyone who has children knows that their tastes and preferences tend to change and that they must have a space that is always ready to fit their needs, so when it comes to their bedrooms it is always a good idea to use neutral elements instead of charging it with pieces of furniture and items that they won’t like anymore in 6 months or a year; same thing happens with sizes, children grow at the speed of light so you’d want to go for full-sized dressers, cabinets and beds that can be useful for many years.

Kids’ bedrooms often serve as multi-functional play, sleep and study zones and sometimes it is hard to keep it all organized, search for built-in storage, cubbies, shelves and drawers where you can put toys, books, clothes to keep the floors clean, and of course, don’t forget to get a good desk or work table where they can draw, read, do homework and feel comfortable.

Things can get a little tricky if you have more than one child and a single bedroom, but don’t freak out, the best way to sort this out is to give each one of them their own personal space, bunk beds are the best, they give each kid a private area even though they’re sharing a room. Make sure each kid has separate dressers and drawings in different spaces of the room that they can call “their side.”

Remember that just because they are kids it doesn’t mean the space they live in can’t be stylish and contemporary; dramatic colors, drawings and themes are outdated, and as much as a kid might like to see giant pictures of superman on the walls, quilts and rugs one day, they’re probably going to hate it the next. That being said, don’t be afraid to use modern and elegant furniture in your kid’s room, incorporate their favorite color on the walls or in some accents to keep it fresh, playful, bright and fun, we assure you they will love it for a long time.
