Tramonto

Tramonto draws a single golden line through the room. A slim rod in a brass finish rises from a compact foot on the floor, folds into a sharp zigzag and cradles a tilted half-dome of smoked glass, so the bulb inside glows warmly through the tinted shade and casts soft light across the wall. Above the frame, a fine cable continues up to a small fitting on the ceiling.

Its tiny footprint lets it go where a conventional lamp would crowd the space: a living room corner, a dressing area, a bedroom, the end of a hallway or a narrow strip of wall beside a window.

• Frame: steel in a brass finish
• Shade: fumé (smoked) glass in a half-sphere shape
• Light source: bulb not included
• Floor-to-ceiling design: the frame rests on the floor and a fine cable runs up to the ceiling
• Designed by Oriano Favaretto for Cattelan Italia
