Wanted builds a glowing column from rounded shades of blown art glass stacked one on another. The glass is made with balloton, a Venetian glassmaking method in which the hot glass is blown into a studded mold, leaving a three-dimensional diamond lattice on the surface, so the light ripples and sparkles as it passes through. Thin clear rings mark each joint between the shades and soften the look of the glass.
Pick the tall version for a strong column of color next to a sofa or lounge chair, or the low version for a gentler glow beside armchairs and low seating. The shades come in deep peacock green (Verde Pavone), warm amber (Ambra) or iridescent pearly white (Madreperla), and the LED light dims from a foot switch.
